Request a Commission

I am open to commission requests for oil paintings from residents near the Phoenix metropolitan area and the surrounding counties. Residents from southern or northern Arizona are also welcome to request a commission provided you are able to travel to Phoenix for consultation. Please review the information below and contact me if you are interested in a quote.

Subject, Style and Medium

I can do landscapes, still life and individual portraits with oil paint on a canvas or wooden panel.  Please review the paintings in the gallery for a sample of my work and my painting style.

Reference Photographs

If there’s a particular photograph you’d like me to paint, please note that the image must be of very good quality to serve as an adequate reference. An acceptable photograph is one with accurate colors, strong lighting, no camera flash and no lens distortion.  It’s better if you can provide multiple photographs of the subject from different angles, so that I can better determine shape, form and proportions. I can also take photographs of the subject if no adequate reference photos are available.

Price Range

I use the following standard sizes for canvas or panel, and my price range are listed below. Additional fees may apply for multiple subjects, complex compositions, travel requirements and other special requests. I am willing to consider other sizes not listed, but my minimum size is 11 x 14 inches and my maximum is 30 x 40 inches.  Art work will only be delivered in person.

*Canvases of these larger dimensions have a depth of 1.5 to 2 inches for stronger support and are generally of heavier-weight fabric.

The prices listed above are for unframed works. I am willing to work with you on framing options if desired.

Deposit and Payment

A deposit of 50% of the price is required before work can commence. It is non-refundable if the client cancels the commission. If the artist cancels the commission, then a full refund will be issued.  Remainder of payment is due upon receipt of art work.
